Interdisciplinary PhD Workshop: Historical Research Methods

with Prof. Andrew Goble

On September 19th 2019, Alexandra Ciorciaro as part of the „Asia and Europe“ doctoral program of the University of Zurich, has organized an interdisciplinary PhD workshop on historical research practices with Prof. Andrew Goble.

The workshop brought together 7 international PhD students from various fields, such as European Medieval Studies, and studies of Japanese history spanning from the ancient to modern period. Together, the participants reflected on the historical research practices in their research field and raised issues related to their own research. The workshop was well-received and provided an excellent opportunity to discuss shared problems, exchange ideas with peers and strengthen interdisciplinary networks.
